New location in the Staples Plaza near GNC. Great new site, STILL the same amazing food! Be patient for longer wait due to new location and staff but worth the wait as always!

Brenda's is my favorite lunch spot in Adrian. The best part is everything is made here. The chips. The salsa. The taco shells, even. Her salsa is killer, and I mean it would ward off vampires from the amount of garlic, so bonus stars. I have tried the double decker tacos, the carne asada street tacos, and elote. They post daily specials on their Facebook page. I keep watching for caldo de res (beef soup). So far, everything I have tried has been amazing.

This is a great little Tex-Mex hole in the wall on the north side of downtown Adrian. This shop has gone through a few iterations. Most recently, it was a Puerto Rican restaurant before the pandemic. It is quite small but it is made to look like an authentic Southwest establishment on the interior (even the exterior a little bit by happy accident). The biggest issue is the fact that there are only three or four tables in the dining area (which has catalyzed plans to make a near-future move to the commercial concentration south of town in the old K-Mart Plaza). I've heard about this place for a while but this was our first chance to try it because of the limited hours. The diminutive interior belies the busy-ness of the lunchtime rush into which we walked. Their primary business seems to be takeout, but our intent was to stay in. In spite of how busy they were, we did not wait long and we found the service to be friendly and efficient. The large menu over the front counter showed a good variety of Tex-Mex favorites, all at reasonable prices (which is probably why this place has become an instant favorite among Adrianites). My wife decided to try the Double Decker Taco, which was well received. I had the quesadilla plato, which included rice and beans. It was great but I took most of it home because I filled up on the wonderful crispy homemade chips and salsa they brought out ahead of the meal. It was all great! Even the rice was somehow a little more savory than most. The bill was about $21 for the food, our drink (we split a bottle of water), tax and tip. Based on prices these days, it was a pretty good deal. We'll look forward to another chance to try this place.
